AlexOnco Summit is an annual event that aims to bring together the brightest minds in the field of oncology to accelerate progress and save lives.
Held at the Helnan Palestine Hotel in Alexandria, from 03 – 04 May, 2023, the conference featured renowned physicians, leading researchers, and scientists who shared their knowledge, insights, and expertise in various oncology-related topics. The summit was attended by over 500 attendees who shared the latest breakthroughs, innovations, and inspiring stories about cancer research, treatment, and care.
Prof. Yousri Rostom, Head of Oncology Department at the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, and Conference President, expressed his gratitude to the attendees for their contributions to the summit. He highlighted the efforts of “Alexandria Oncology Foundation” in providing comprehensive psychological support, tailored therapeutic interventions, educational resources, and heightened awareness for patients and their families. The foundation aims to empower patients to take an active role in their healthcare while fostering a culture of hope and healing.

The conference’s second day was devoted entirely to raising Public Awareness, with “Expand a member of ICOM group” partnering with the board members to host an important awareness day. The event focused on spreading awareness about cancer and educating the public about the disease, while also providing valuable insights for medical professionals.
The session emphasized the significance of early detection and prevention methods, and discussed the latest advancements in cancer research and treatment options. Through this event, the organizers aimed to drive change in healthcare practices by highlighting the importance of raising awareness.
