APC 2025 – Experience the Art of Pediatrics: A 25-Year Legacy of Learning and Collaboration

The 10th Forum of Pediatrics (APC 2025), proudly organized by ICOM Group, concluded its landmark edition on October 23–24, 2025, marking a double celebration — 25 years of the Alexandria Pediatric Center (APC) and 10 years of impactful Scientific Forums.

Under the theme “Experience the Art of Pediatrics: Advancing Care Through Collaboration”, the APC 2025 brought together over 470 attendees, 125 faculty experts, for 2 days of in-depth scientific exchange, training, and celebration of pediatric excellence.

A Comprehensive Scientific Experience

The program unfolded across 10 sessions, 5 symposia, and multiple specialized workshops, blending academic rigor with real-world relevance.  Highlights included:

• Scientific Sessions, covering Endocrinology & Radiology, Cardiology & Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Metabolic Disorders, Gastroenterology, Nephrology & Urology, Neurology & Physical Medicine, Pulmonology & Immunology…etc.  
• POCUS in Neonates Workshop, offering hands-on training in cranial, lung, renal, and cardiac ultrasound.
• Clinical Pharmacy Session, spotlighting safe dosing, clinical nutrition, and early mental health interventions.
• Dual Nursing Sessions, focusing on Pediatric Triage and Core Competencies in Nursing, empowering frontline professionals through digital and evidence-based approaches.
• Multidisciplinary scientific sessions tackling everything from Endocrinology and Radiology to Cardiology, Nephrology, Pulmonology, and Hematology-Oncology.

Throughout the forum, ICOM Group’s operational excellence shone through every detail — from managing speaker logistics and audiovisual support to ensuring seamless flow between sessions and workshops.

Milestones and Moments That Mattered

A touching In Memoriam segment honored the late Dr. Hossam Ahmad Helmi and Ph. Hisham Omar Khalil, key figures in APC’s journey. 

The Hossam Helmi Session further celebrated their legacy, recognizing outstanding pediatric professionals with special awards including the Galal Aref Award and the APC Memorial Award.

The Opening Ceremony gathered high-profile figures — including Prof. Mohamad Badran (Deputy Minister of Health, Alexandria Governorate), Prof. Manal Abdel Gawad (Chairman of the Pediatric Department, Alexandria University), and Prof. Salah Zaher, the conference president and other eminent figures from the Egyptian Medical Syndicate, and the Egyptian Pediatric Association in Alexandria — setting the tone for 2 unforgettable days of science, growth, and gratitude.

The event culminated with a heartwarming Gala Dinner, celebrating 25 years of the APC, a legacy built on education, mentorship, and continuous medical excellence.
