PlastAlex 2025: A Landmark Summer Meeting for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery

From 3–5 September 2025, Alexandria became the hub of innovation and collaboration in plastic surgery as the Egyptian Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ESPRS) held its 49th Summer Meeting – PlastAlex 2025 at the Sunrise Alex Avenue Hotel.
The three-day conference gathered experts from across Egypt and beyond to discuss advances in plastic and reconstructive surgery, with highly organized sessions covering spotlight topics, controversies, lectures, and live presentations. Expertly supported by ICOM Group’s Event Management Team, the meeting offered participants both a rich scientific exchange and a seamless delegate experience.

● 20 EMA PRA Category 1 credit hours accredited by the Scientific Council of the
Egyptian Medical Association (SCEMA).

Scientific Program Highlights
Across three days, PlastAlex 2025 delivered a comprehensive program of 12+ spotlight sessions and specialized symposia, including:
● Reconstructive Innovation: sessions on head & neck reconstruction, lower extremity salvage, pediatric plastic surgery, and microsurgery.
● Aesthetic Surgery Advances: in breast surgery, facial aesthetics, body contouring,
and rhinoplasty.
● Burns & Wounds: new approaches in prevention, management, and functional recovery.
● Special Topics: practice management, stress & burnout among young surgeons, and the cultural dimensions of aesthetics.
The diversity of the program ensured that both senior professors and younger surgeons left with valuable knowledge and practical insights.
