UCHID 2022
UCHID 2022 was a celebration of discoveries and late-breaking research, new guidelines, practical demonstrations, and more. This distinguished event covered a wide range of topics and training courses for different aspects of Hepatogastroenterology and gastrointestinal endoscopy over 3 consecutive days with the participation of national and international experts.
The Hepatogastroenterology specialty is undergoing dramatic changes—with highly effective drugs to cure hepatitis C, a major increase in metabolic liver diseases and liver cancer worldwide, and multiple novels, innovative treatment concepts for rare liver diseases and hepatitis B emerging.
The Board Members managed last year to bring together clinicians, scientists, and Hepatogastro-enterology associates from all around Egypt to discuss the latest advances at the front line of hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases, and related disciplines complementary to the new tools of digital communication.
The event succeeded to bring together over 3K physical and 5.9K virtual attendees, along with 23 international speakers from 13 different countries around the world for a 3-day gathering of learning, networking, and sharing the latest developments in the field of Hepatogastroenterology, all with the goal of enhancing the attendees’ knowledge, accelerating skills, and advancing the specialty. Of course, the conference’s accreditation by the European Union of Medical Specialties—U.E.M.S.—was also noteworthy.
ICOM team will always enjoy collaborating with the UCHID Board to plan this event in such a luxurious form.
