The aim of the conference was to highlight the importance of post-transplant follow-up.
“Today, we gather here to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Transplantation Chapter. This esteemed gathering has been graced by the presence of experts in the field, and we have chosen the theme of post-transplant follow-up monitoring. The significance of this topic cannot be overstated, as it plays a crucial role in the long-term success of transplant procedures. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the board for their relentless dedication and hard work”, said Prof. Ayman Refaie, Transplantation Chapter President, and Congress Scientific Chair.
The scientific program emphasized that post-transplant follow-up is not just about monitoring graft function and drug levels. Many other important issues should be closely monitored, such as immunological, infectious, and metabolic complications. The program also highlighted the importance of monitoring for malignancy and histopathology, as well as post-donation monitoring. All of these issues require careful monitoring to ensure the success of the transplant.
The presence of 10+ International Speakers from different countries, including the UK, USA, KSA, and Jordan, added a great deal of value to the conference. Attendees were able to learn from experts from around the world.
