IMAC 2022
In recent years, huge focus has been placed on the importance of team-based opportunities and collaborations between various HCPs and entities to create “medical conferences”. As they believed that working together involves acknowledging that all participants need to bring knowledge and share the expertise from their professional and personal experience. This caused a rapid enhancement in treatments methods and problem-solving solutions, consequently improving the patient care and the overall healthcare system.
IMAC 2022, a valuable conference experience in improving the knowledge of interventionists, was held this year in a very outstanding version, organized by ICOM Group and sponsored by huge number of pharmaceutical companies. It was full of extraordinary formats of on-site and online sessions and activities that facilitated networking and knowledge exchange among more than 600 delegate with hundreds of presentations spread across 2 to 3 halls in 3 consecutive days.
The number of participants were increased this year within the hybrid format and the 25+ international guest attending, leading to a remarkable satisfaction and quality rating by the delegates. This version had definitely supported juniors and senior physicians with knowledgeable occupation. The delegates absorbed the latest evidence and advances in aortic diseases through multidisciplinary discussions and talks, interactive sessions, demonstrations of the newest technology and treatments presented by the 80+ speaker and chairperson. It had even let a chance through its “mentor lounge” for junior physicians to have a whole hour to meet up with their favorite professor, for an ultimate learning experience! The conference had highlighted every related topic to intervention aortic disease, leading to that huge gathering of Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists and Cardiothoracic Surgeons from all over the world.
The 6 years of IMAC series had one similar thing in common; enriching the whole region with the latest developments and advancements of this field within one place for a supreme patient care. Prof. Ahmed Gamal quoted during his press release that “For the first year in the history of IMAC, we’ve launched a panel discussing peripheral arterial and central veins diseases and the newest technologies and treatments used to manage this case”
“This year’s conference addressed an important point, which is the problems of the “peripheral arteries”, as they are more common than the aorta, which is hardening of the arteries due to some factors such as diabetes, increased cholesterol, smoking, immobility, or sports activities, and these problems may lead to complications, so it must be diagnosed early before problems occur,” said Prof. Sherif Omar El Kordy – Helwan University Professor and Head of the Department of Vascular Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Helwan University
Another thing that was exclusive for this year version was; quoted Prof. Khaled Shawki. “This year we took a good care of the junior doctors, as we created multiple workshops and panels especially for them to enhance their skills and their ability to overcome any obstacle they face within their normal day”
We were very proud of creating this exceptional version of IMAC with its long list of new add-ups and innovations. The dedicated team working on this conference had put every inch of creativity they had and had spent hundreds of hours to create developments and advancements in this version and fortunately, they did succeed in creating an extraordinary one!
