Bridging Gaps and Advancing Nephrology: A Recap of the 42nd ESNT Congress.

The 42nd Congress of the Egyptian Society of Nephrology and Transplantation (ESNT) was held in Cairo, Egypt, between 13-16 February 2023, was a resounding success, bringing together over 3000+ attendees and 30 experts from North America, Asia, Australia, Africa, and Europe. The congress, endorsed by the African Association of Nephrology (AFRAN) and The Arab Society of Nephrology and Transplantation (ASNRT), received support from the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and Mayo Clinic, highlighting its importance on the global nephrology stage.
The theme of this year’s congress, “Bridging the Gaps & Facing Challenges in Nephrology Practice,” resonated throughout the event. Participants had the opportunity to engage in discussions on cutting-edge topics such as AI in nephrology, challenging cases in nephrology and optimization of nephrology practice, updates in nephrology, nursing programs focusing on the role of nurses in patient care, global experience in nephrology, and challenges in kidney donation in Egypt.
